Welcome to Friends of Fort Morris. In an era of tight state budgets, Friends of Fort Morris is a passionate and committed group dedicated to providing essential funding and support for historic Fort Morris. Our mission is to preserve this significant landmark and the natural beauty of its surroundings on the eastern coast of Georgia.

 

Over the years, Friends of Fort Morris has made a substantial impact by funding the restoration of trails, organizing free family-friendly events, collaborating with the State of Georgia to acquire cannons from the Revolutionary War and War of 1812 periods, conducting educational tours, and contributing to the acquisition of historic artifacts. All these achievements have been made possible thanks to the generous support of individuals like you who value Fort Morris State Historic Site and its role in preserving Georgia's history and natural habitats for wildlife, including nesting sea turtles and migrating birds along the coast.
